If you're in Oakland check out The Johansson Projects new show with work from Bay Area painter Yvette Molina. Her work is precise using layers of oil paint and glazes. Love it.

i ♥ flickr photographers...

Oladios has a bizarre and amazing way of capturing action shots and a very original vintage-like dynamic color scheme. Wow.

Di P'anna has a stunning use of colors and composition, very inspiring.

Elinay has the most amazing captures of Hawks and other birds of prey I've ever seen.

Ana CB (Fuxxión) with great use of dark levels and mystery.

Peterbaker has a fantastic eye shooting landscapes.

Finding alot of jewels on flickr lately, the latest being "IL", a new magazine making it's debut in Italy, designed by Francesco Franchi, Luca Pitoni and Ilaria Tomat.

Happy Halloween

The demented dioramas from Jonah Samson are jaw-dropping...

The other "Mr. T"

Allowing fictions and established hearsay to create a flawed interpretation, Mike T. Rea creates inspiring wooden sculptures, my favorite being the "Suit for Steven Hawking".

Ryan McLennan

Great interview over at Fecal Face!

Of Montreal

Hushpuppy Gallery is evolving...

...we took the sign down so that makes it official, I guess. This past year the gallery has been open has been great fun for Erin and I, met alot of great artists and people, now on to bigger and better things! Right now we’re looking into a more “collective creative” space, I’m thinking a screen printing setup and possibly a darkroom, but that could change… we’re looking for a space with a somewhat large work area…

Last week I met up with Erin and her team of stylists over at Crimpers for a photoshoot in the Historic Oakland Cemetery. This was just a quick preview of whats to come, need some more time to edit the photos.

Pet Banksy!

Banksy just opened his first official exhibition in New York. Set inside a fake pet store, here's the BBC coverage...

Cassavetes "Night of the Knife"

Well, after 3 months of not posting anything, I'm back! We finished the music video for Cassavetes finally a few weeks ago and here it is. Directed by Jason Drakeford, edited by Robbie Horlick, lighting by Dan Hollister.
